So, September means it’s ‘back to school’ for pupils all over the country, Parliament is returning after its summer recess and Strictly and the X Factor are gracing our screens once more!
On the financial side, a recent survey conducted by YouGov for the Money Advice Trust of 2,042 eighteen to twenty-four year olds found that more than a third have debts of almost £3,000 and experience significant concerns about money. Far too few appeared to be seeking advice when they fell into difficulty, strengthening the case for earlier and more co-ordinated financial education.

Is working part of your retirement plan?
A recent study analysing the income statistics for pensioners has found that more people aged over 65 are continuing to work after they officially retire. Figures suggest that the amount of pensioners doing so is around 13%, an increase from just 8% over the past ten years.
The scammers won’t go away, so be careful out there!
It’s an unfortunate truth of the computer age that, as the software developed to protect your identity and sensitive information improves, so the methods of those trying to defraud you become ever more effective.
