KDW Take on London to Paris Once Again!
On May 25th KDW is once again cycling 500km from London to Paris to raise money for Myeloma UK.
This year two team members from KDW will be taking on this challenge Marcus Maisey and Gary Cretton. While Marcus was part of the 2016 team that cycled 125kms a day in order to reach Paris, this will be Gary’s first time. They are due to reach the grand finale; riding up to the Arc de Triomphe in one big peloton under police escort, to finish at the Eiffel Tower on the 29th May.

The race is organised by Myeloma UK, which is the only UK charity which exclusively supports Myeloma; a cancer of plasma cells in the bone marrow. They do not receive any government funding and rely almost entirely on voluntary donations and fundraising activities, so they really need our support!
KDW’s participation in 2016 was originally inspired by one of our client who suffers from this rare form of cancer. Through last year’s fund raising, we subsequently discovered that several other clients and their families are affected by Myeloma. This cemented our decision to get involved and support Myeloma UK in this fantastic event once again.
Last year the ride raised an amazing £300,000 to fund research for a cure. Four members of KDW took part in 2016 and all were completely overwhelmed by the fantastically organised event that Myeloma UK had organised. The London to Paris cycle ride in 2016 was the inaugural event from Myeloma UK and turned out to be their largest ever fund raising event.

Marcus and Gary will be riding alongside members of the Kelly Group and together are aiming to raise £10,000 to make Myeloma history.
